Preparing Women for Their Financial Futures
Did you know that one-in-five women are not confident about their money management?
The Women’s Institute for a Secure Retirement released a report discussing the financial burdens that can come along with aging and caregiving.
Americans are living longer – which means retirement resources are becoming even more important, especially for women. According to WISER, women tend to have greater longevity compared to men.
Amy L. Hinojosa, President & CEO of MANA, A National Latina Organization, also shared insights on the importance of financial literacy in older women, as less than 30% of them feel relaxed about their financial futures.
So – how do we make sure women are well-equipped and prepared to understand their finances and feel ready for the future?
Here were some of the solutions from the WISER roundtable:
- Plan for longevity in the early adult stages of life.
- Having actionable deliverables like a financial plan to feel prepared.
- Prioritize financial education for women.
