Tell Governor Polis: Protect Colorado Families!

A proposed regulation in Colorado could restrict access to financial protection and work against life insurance customers.

Increasing accessibility of family financial protection is a priority for life insurers, especially online.

An overly prescriptive regulation would stifle the innovation that is helping individuals and families who may not have access to financial security in traditional ways. Life insurers have offered a better way that doesn’t unintentionally work to the disadvantage of life insurance customers.

Unfortunately, the proposed regulation doesn’t strike the right balance between making good and appropriate use of data to assess risk and meaningful consumer protection.

Instead of shutting down progress being made with technology to reach people in new ways, Colorado should lead the way in getting this right and not the first to get it wrong.
